Chop A Forest beginner guide: your first tools and sale
Chop, collect and sell your first logs, then work toward an Axe, a bigger bag and a truck.
Hit a tree, collect the fallen logs and take them to the chipper. Follow the opening tutorial, then save for your first Axe. The dated walkthrough below buys it for 150 cash.

How to chop, collect and sell
- Start a solo run or join your friends. Follow the tutorial objective shown on your screen.
- Hit a nearby tree until it falls. Hands work at the start; buy Hold if the tutorial asks for it.
- Pick up the loose logs. When the carrying counter is full, head back with the current load.
- Bring the logs to the chipper’s input area and use the sell prompt. Let the machine process the load.
- Check the cash balance and the next tutorial objective before buying an upgrade.
Watch the on-screen prompts for your device. The screenshots show a desktop recording; touch and controller prompts can look different.

Opening loop: damage a nearby tree, then collect the logs it leaves behind.

Bring carried logs to the chipper’s drop area. This later moment in the same run shows the player already using an Axe.

| Purchase | Recorded cash cost | When it helps |
|---|---|---|
| Axe | 150 | You spend most of the trip hitting each tree. |
| First backpack | 175 | Your bag fills before you have cleared a nearby pile. |
| Axe upgrades | Check the selected upgrade | You own the Axe and want fewer hits or less repeated clicking. |
| Starter truck | 500 | The remaining trees are far from the chipper. |
Use that order as a starting route. If your bag fills after every tree, more chopping power will still leave you walking back with the same small load. The recorded prices are from one run; match them against your own shop.
Cut nearby trees before making another trip
With more carrying space, cut a small group of nearby trees, collect the logs and take one load back. A Vacuum gathers loose logs; a vehicle moves them.
The tools page compares purchase options. Use the truck guide when hauling takes longer than chopping.
Stuck on the opening loop?
| Problem | Next check |
|---|---|
| I cannot pick up another log | Look at the carrying counter and unload the bag. |
| The upgrade is locked | Check that you own the tool it belongs to. |
| The next area is closed | Check the zone’s completion objective. The footage clears Oakwood before entering Birch. |
| The button asks for Robux | Look for a separate cash offer and read the exact item name before confirming. |
Common questions
Do I need Robux to start?
The recorded opening uses in-game cash for the Axe and carrying upgrades. Robux offers are separate.
Should I keep upgrading Hands?
The walkthrough buys the tutorial Hold upgrade, then saves for an Axe. Spending heavily on Hands would delay that next tool.
